Dana Block
Actor

Dana is a relatively recent arrival in our land of snow and chicken wings.  Currently residing in Jamestown, NY, Dana spent the majority of her career in wind-swept Chicago where she racked up a long list of stage credits.
Dana made her Buffalo stage debut with a self-produced presentation of her original one-woman show MY HAIR PIECE at the 2005 Buffalo "infringement" festival -- a work she also performed at Chicago's "Abbie Hoffmann Died for our Sins" Festival shortly thereafter.
In keeping with her interest in political theatre, Dana also performed in the Irish Classical Theatre's production of Dario Fo's THE ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST in the Fall of 2005.
Dana's first appearance with Subversive Theatre came as Martha Webster in our staged reading of BURY THE DEAD for the Buffalo installment of the international "Bury the Dead Project" on September 19th, 2005.  After that, she played the irate wife "Edna" in our staged reading of WAITING FOR LEFTY for May Day 2006.
Most recently Dana played the "Eighth Voice" in our staged reading of SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER (pictured left) for May Day 2007.
