Michael Fanelli

Trying
to get a biography
out of Mike is a bit like being the condemned prisoner in
Goya's "Third of May" -- arms spread out in a crucifixion pose -- before
Napoleon's firing squad. Mike
admits only his name and rank.
A native
of New York City, he moved to the Buffalo area for the quality of life --
ha, ha. A man of eclectic tastes, Mike expresses himself through
playwrighting, poetry, painting . . . he even ran for Elma Town Council in
the last election . . . but somehow the electorate failed to recognize his
genius.
Subversive Theatre at last produced a Fanelli play
-- "Planet of the Enriques" -- as part of sUBVERsIVE
sHORTs 2009 with the playwright himself in the director's chair.
One of Subversive Theatre's original Board Members
and now in his fourth year as our illustrious Executive Director, Mike
continues to play a crucial role in both the administrative and artistic
develop of our Collective.
