Phil Knoerzer
Actor

   002_0A.JPG (6974 bytes)
A tried-and-true veteran of the Buffalo Theatre Community, Phil has performed with almost every area troupe over the last twenty years -- the Irish Classical Theatre Company, Theatre of Youth, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Ujima, New Phoenix, the Buffalo Ensemble Theatre, and Road Less Traveled Productions to name only a few.
Appearing in Subversive Theatre's first ever presentation -- A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON MY WAY TO SHOOT THE CZAR in February 2002, Phil returned to star in MANIFEST DESTINY BLUES in the Summer of 2003.  More recently he performed in our 2004 May Day presentation of ARE YOU NOW OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN, the original staged reading of MOTHER DIS-COURAGE for "Artists Against George W." in July of 2004, and our staged reading of IN THE HEART OF AMERICA for "National Stop the War Week" in December of 2004.
Undaunted from his early days as a 1960s student activist, Phil continues to stand up for his political causes as a dedicated union member and an all around opponent of George W. Bush.  In keeping with these beliefs, he is proud to be one of the earliest members of the Subversive Theatre Collective.  Phil is also a member of Buffalo's Ujima Theatre Company and Theatre for Change.
