The
Manny Fried Playhouse
255 Great Arrow Avenue
Named after Buffalo's own incomparable labor
activist and theatre artist, the Manny Fried Playhouse is
the regular home for all Subversive Theatre productions. Located
on the third floor of North Buffalo's Great Arrow Building, this
performance space is a small blackbox style theatre with a seating
capacity for roughly fifty patrons.
The Great Arrow Building will be found at 225
Great Arrow Avenue (directly behind the PIERCE Arrow Building on Elmwood
Avenue) just east of the intersection of Elmwood Avenue & Great
Arrow Avenue. The space is two blocks north of Amherst Street and
one block south of Hertel Avenue.
Parking is available in the expansive parking
lot directly opposite the building on the south side of Great Arrow
Avenue. Enter through the doors under the green awning closest to
Elmwood Avenue (pictured above) and follow signs to the third
floor. Turn right at the top of the stairs and the Manny
Fried Playhouse will be the first door on your left.
LARGE PASSENGER ELEVATORS ARE AVAILABLE FOR
ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WISH TO TAKE THE STAIRS. The Manny Fried
Playhouse is a fully handicapped accessible facility.
