Production History of

DROP HAMMER

First published by Labor Arts Books in 1977, DROP HAMMER was written as the completion of a trilogy that also includes the plays BROTHER GORSKI and COCOON.
DROP HAMMER was originally performed as a staged reading at Toronto's Hydro Theatre.  A second staged reading was held at Buffalo's African Cultural Center.
DROP HAMMER enjoyed its first full production at Los Angeles' Actors' Theatre in the early 1980s.  The play was then performed in Buffalo under the direction of Michael Mirand in the backroom of the Bar "Nietzsche's" in 1984.
Our rendition is the play's third-ever full production.  We are honored to have the opportunity to present this work that has never received the full attention it merits.
