"The thrust for freedom is the quality in tragedy which
exalts. The revolutionary questioning of the stable environment is
what terrifies. In no way is the common man debarred from such
thoughts or such actions."
-Arthur Miller

About the Crew of
...AND THEY PUT HANDCUFFS ON THE FLOWERS.
Here's the fearless gang of behind-the-scenes-ians
who made everything possible!
|
Kurt "Vile" Schneiderman*
(Director/Producer/Stage Manager)
Subversive Theatre's Founder & Artistic Director,
Kurt finds it both an honor and a challenge to be working on such a cryptic
and multi-disciplinary project as "...and they put handcuffs on the
flowers."
Above all, Kurt is thrilled to be working on this
project with his wonderful wife Jenny who will be giving birth to the world's
newest subversive in December!
A playwright, director, Award-winning lighting
designer, college professor, and life-long activist, Kurt has directed the lion's share of
Subversive Theatre's productions including our Artie-Award winning production
of WAITING FOR
LEFTY (2008).

Jeanette Schneiderman*
(Prompt/Props Mistress/House Manager)
A teacher of Global Studies at Buffalo's Bennett High
School, Jenny has been an extremely dedicated member of Subversive Theatre's
Board of Directors for almost four years now.
Often working behind the scenes, Jenny has provided
invaluable assistance with the production tasks of many Subversive Theatre
shows including NICKEL AND
DIMED (2008), WAITING
FOR LEFTY (2008), THE
EXCEPTION AND THE RULE (2007), and SINCERITY
FOREVER (2006), to name only a few.
Whether it's copying up scripts, finding props,
managing the door come performance time, or just about anything else that
needs doing, Jenny always finds a way to come through for Subversive Theatre
and we're thrilled to have her on board once again! |

AND DIMED in April.
Around town Dyan also does design and tech work

graduate of UB's Department of Theatre and Dance who went on to get her M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. A skilled actress and dancer, Monica has appeared in
experimental genre-defying productions from London, England to Kingstown, Jamaica.
Monica first appeared with Subversive Theatre in our
first ever full-scale production, THE ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST,
in 2003. After a five year hiatus, Monica returned to perform and
choreograph our production of THE
EXCEPTION AND THE RULE for last year's "infringement"
