Virginia Brannon*
(Director)
     We are pleased to have Virginia back in the director's chair for this production!  Subversive Theatre's co-Resident Dramaturg, she also directed the vignette "Please Remove This Stuffed Animal from My Head" as part of SUBVERSIVE SHORTS 2007 and -- most recently -- NICKEL AND DIMED (2008).  Virginia stage managed our productions of FOUNDATIONS (2007) and our Artie Award-winning production of WAITING FOR LEFTY (2008).
     A recent Niagara University graduate, Virginia's other directorial credits include WAIT TILL DARK and THE SUNSHINE BOYS for Lewiston's Theater-in-the-Mist and THE RESPECTFUL PROSTITUTE for the 2006 Buffalo "infringement" Festival.


Travis Hedland
(Stage Manager)
     Travis is a graduate of the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts which he attended for four years as a theater major.  
     He was featured in numerous school productions including DEAD MAN WALKING and THE LARAMIE PROJECT as well as directing and performing in MOUSE TRAP -- the first time the school has ever entrusted a student with sole responsibility for a main stage production.
     He is returning this school year as an alumni guest to direct THE ODD COUPLE later this season.
     Over recent years, Travis has also worked with Theater for Change as well as stage managing the annual V-Day for Buffalo benefit for the last four years running.  This is his first time working with Subversive Theatre.

Carlie Todoro-Rickus*
(Lighting Designer)
     Resident Lighting Designer for both Subversive Theatre and the Configuration Dance Company, Carlie is a visual artist who uses light as her medium on a living canvas. Recent designs projects include THE WOMAN BEFORE for New Phoenix Theatre and IN THE MIST for the Zodiaque Dance Studio Ensemble. 
     Carlie has a degree in Fine Arts from the University at Buffalo and is also proud to design and tech for UB Center for the Arts, Studio Arena Theatre, RPM Productions, and -- of course -- Subversive Theatre!
     Since coming on board with our troupe, Carlie has provided lighting design for our Artie Award-winning production of WAITING FOR LEFTY (2008) as well as ...AND THEY PUT HANDCUFFS ON THE FLOWERS. (2008).


Dyan O'Connell*
(Set & Costume Designer)
     Dyan is excited to be working on her fourth production with Subversive Theatre. Our Troupe's Co-Resident Set Designer, she's crafted sets for our productions of WAITING FOR LEFTY (2008), NICKEL AND DIMED (2008), and -- most recently -- ...AND THEY PUT HANDCUFFS ON THE FLOWERS. (2008).
     Around town Dyan also does design and tech work for Seneca Niagara/Allegany Casino, UB Center For the Arts, and local band Lazlo Hollyfeld. This past fall she was working and teaching in the UB Theatre Department.
     Dyan has a M.F.A. degree in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and a B.A. degree in Theatre Design and Technology from the University at Buffalo.  Recent designs in Dallas include HAMLET and SPRING AWAKENING

John Shotwell
(Sound Designer)
     John is a freelance audio engineer and stagehand.  His extensive list of sound design credits include: New Phoenix Theatre (FOOL FOR LOVE, THE COUNTRY GIRL, THE RESERVOIR, and others), Road Less Traveled Productions (BONEGRINDERS, HOMELAND, PEDDLER'S BONES, and others), Shakespeare in Delaware Park (LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, HAMLET), and the Lazlo/Rozler Noise Project.
     With Subversive Theatre, John has conjured soundscapes for our productions of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON MY WAY TO SHOOT THE CZAR (2004), WHAT I HEARD ABOUT IRAQ (2006), MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE (2008), and NICKEL AND DIMED (2008).
     As a sound tech, John has toured the World with Rock Groups The John and Mary Band, Moxy Fruvous, The 10,000 Maniacs, The Horse Flies, and Enter the Haggis.


Kurt Schneiderman*
(Poster & Web Designer)
     Subversive Theatre's Founder & Artistic Director, Kurt is the constant maintainer of the Troupe's website and has designed the posters for a long list of our productions.
     Kurt is thrilled to be able to work such an excellent technical and artistic team in bringing PALACE OF THE END to life.  But he is especially thrilled to at long last be able to hold a Subversive Theatre production in a place that we can call home -- welcome to the Manny Fried Playhouse everybody!  Long may it wave!!!

Michael Fanelli*
(Promotional Director & House Manager)
     As Subversive Theatre's Executive Director, Board Member, and Volunteer Co-ordinator, Mike routinely plays a variety of crucial roles in bringing our productions to life.
     As always, we're delighted to have him on board.  Thanks, Mike, we couldn't do it with out ya!
