ABOUT THE PLAY.
"Please Remove This Stuffed Animal From My Head" is a
wonderfully unsubtle allegory about the Right-wing's attack on abortion
rights. Gleefully dripping with metaphor, this fifteen-minute-long skit
takes us to a hypothetical world where men have to undergo rigorous screening
before they are allowed to exercise their "right" to have stuffed
animals surgically removed from their heads. This totally outrageous
spoof has a lot of very serious points to make.
"Please Remove This Stuffed Animal From My
Head" has enjoyed a long list of performances by the following
companies: 4/2006: DiverseWorks, Houston TX (reading), 9/2006: Intentional
Theatre, Waterford, CT (reading), 1/2007: Venture Theatre, Billings MT
(production, winner "People's Choice" and "Production
Award"), 3/2007: Kansas City Women's Playwriting Festival, Kansas City MO
(production), 3/2007: Gene Frankel Theatre, New York NY (production), 5/2007:
MadLab Theatre, Columbus OH (production), 8/2007: Abbie Hoffman Died for Our
Sins XIX Festival, Chicago IL (production).
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT.
