ABOUT THE CAST.
Diane Gaidry ("Lily")

After a couple of decades in Los Angeles where she co-founded the filmmaking collective, Filmmakers Alliance and acted primarily in independent film, Diane has returned home to Buffalo. This is Diane’s third production at the Manny Fried Playhouse.  She played Harper in “Far Away,” directed by Megan last summer and Alexandra in Subversive’s production of “Widows” last fall.

Sarah Brown ("Rose")

After an un-bee-lievable year in Buffalo, Sarah is inspired to have worked on this piece with her bee-uitiful colleagues.  Actor, singer, traveler, Sarah's favorite past performances this year include ROCKY HORROR (Magenta - ARTIE nomination) and ELECTRA (Messenger) at the ALT.  This Fall, she is heading to Florida to receive her MFA in acting from Asolo Repertory Conservatory / FSU.  She currently holds her BFA in performance theatre from SUNY Buffalo. Namaste.
With Subversive Theatre, Sara has appeared in our productions of THE HAIRY APE (2009) and our Artie Award-winning production of WAITING FOR LEFTY (2008).

Marie Costa (costume designer & understudy for the role of "Lily")

Marie is very happy to get to play with such a lovely bunch of talented people, and her favorite flowers are Black Eyed Susans.  Love and thanks to Thunder Chicken.

James Steiner ("Adam")

After graduating from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor of Arts - Theater degree, James makes his first appearance with Subversive Theatre.  Last year, he was seen in the world premiere of Clinton's Ditch: The Story of the Building of the Erie Canal (Dan O'Brien, Sean, Shovel Aid) both acting and assistant directing with Dan Shanahan for Erie Canal Drama Theater, Inc., East Side Mommas (Prison Guard) at Theaterloft with Ujima, Seven Keys To Baldpate (Peters) and Twelfth Night (Sir Andrew Aguecheek) as well as many others at Buffalo State College.
He will soon be moving to England to work for his Master of Fine Arts - Theater degree from East 15 Acting School.
James is also performing in the play HONEY-COATED HAM, the fourth vignette of our Showcase's "Brecht" Line-up as well as providing the off-stage voice in the play MEDALS, the third vignette of our Showcase's "Brecht" Line-up.  This is James' first time working with Subversive Theatre.
