Kurt Schneiderman*
(Director & Web Designer)
Subversive Theatre's Founder & Artistic Director,
Kurt is very honored to have this opportunity to bring WIDOWS to life .
. . a play he considers the most powerful he's ever had the privilege of
directing.
A playwright, director, Award-winning lighting
designer, college professor, and life-long activist, Kurt has directed the lion's share of
Subversive Theatre's productions including our Artie-Award winning WAITING FOR
LEFTY (2008).
He
proudly dedicates all his artistic works to the long overdue Peoples'
Revolution and offers up this production as an testament to the power
of the people to resist against the most impossible odds.

Rachel Zeller*
(Stage Manager/Props Mistress)
Rachel is pleased to be stage managing her third
consecutive Subversive production . . . the first two were THE HAIRY APE
for the 2009 Buffalo "infringement" Festival and TWILIGHT.
Rachel has been involved in
theatre since the tender age of eight years old, and has worked on many, many
shows both on stage and behind the scenes. She holds an A.S. in Theatre from Finger Lakes
Community College and recently earned her B.A. in Theatre from UB.
A mother of two beautiful
daughters, and married to the perfect man. Rachel feels very blessed to have
such a wonderful life. |

Jessica Fialko
(Set & Lighting Designer)
In addition to her studies in London, Jess holds a BFA in Theatre
Design/Technology from the University at Buffalo where her credits include THE
SHAPE OF THINGS (Lighting Design) and TWELFTH NIGHT (Costume
Design).
Her recent
work features Production Design for the
off-off Broadway revival of Neil LaBute’s BASH.
Upcoming work includes Associate Lighting Designer for Neglia Ballet
Artists’ The Nutcracker at Shea's
Performing Arts Center.
With Subversive Theatre, Jess served as set painter
for our production of THE
HAIRY APE as part of the 2009 Buffalo "infringement"
Festival.

Danielle Walker
(Assistant Set & Lighting Designer)
Danielle Walker is a recent graduate of the
University at Buffalo theatre program. In the past she has been a part
of the Shakespeare in Delaware Park build crew, and has also done fireworks
displays for the production company Pyrotecnico.
In addition to working on WIDOWS,
she is also a scene painter for the Irish Classical Theatre Company and a
properties master for Road Less Traveled Productions.
This is Danielle's first time working with Subversive
Theatre. |

John Shotwell*
(Sound Designer)
Subversive Theatre's Resident Sound Designer, John is a freelance audio engineer and stagehand.
His extensive list of sound design credits include: New Phoenix Theatre, Road
Less Traveled Productions, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and the Lazlo/Rozler Noise Project.
As a sound tech, John has toured the World with Rock
Groups The
John and Mary Band, Moxy Fruvous, The 10,000
Maniacs, The Horse Flies, and Enter the Haggis.
John has crafted majestic soundscapes for a long list
of Subversive Theatre productions since 2004.

Paul Kozlowski
(Composer/Performer of Instrumentals)
Paul describes himself as "a musical
illusionist who very much enjoys mountains."
A member of the bohemian middle eastern flavored
band Casperous Vine, Paul has composed original musical scores for several
theatrical productions including the New Phoenix Theatre's GILGAMESH, THE
PILLOWMAN,
and FREUD AND THE SANDMAN, Skeletons in the Closet
Productions' THE BEDEVILED CHEST and MEDIUM RARE, as well as
TornSpace Theatre's MURIEL VANDERBILT GOES WALKING (at the 2005 New
York City Fringe Festival) and THE CARD INDEX.
This is Paul's first time with Subversive
Theatre. |

Mindy Herington
(Costume Designer)
Mindy Herington went to graduate School for Costume
Design at Wayne State University in Detroit. She moved to Buffalo eight
years ago to work at Studio
Arena Theatre as the Assistant Costume Shop Manager -- a post she held
until the theatre closed its doors in 2008.
Mindy has also served as the Costume Designer
for productions at Shakespeare
in Delaware Park, The Paul
Robinson Theater, The Kavinoky Theatre and Art Park and is beginning
design work for Niagara County Community College.
This is Mindy's first time working with Subversive
Theatre.

Melissa Grosse
(Poster Design & Illustrations)
This is Melissa's second time working with Subversive
Theatre. Last time around, Melissa sketched the illustrations for backdrops
and the playbill of our production of THE
HAIRY APE for the 2009 Buffalo "infringement"
Festival.

Megan Callahan
(Dialect Coach)
A "Jill" of
all trades, Megan is a musician, director, actor, teacher, yoga instructor,
writer, and holistic care practitioner.
Holding an MFA from Wayne State University, Megan has
served as Dialect Coach for several recent theatre productions including BLOOD
BROTHERS & CHARLEY'S AUNT for Irish Classical and THE
IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST & SHIRLEY VALENTINE for the Vermont
troupe Lost Nation Theater.
She recently directed DEATHTRAP with Lost
Nation and FAR AWAY as part of the 2009 Buffalo "infringement"
Festival. Megan's happy to be working on her first Subversive Theatre
project.

Michael Fanelli*
(Theatre Set-Up)
As Subversive Theatre's Executive Director, Board
Member, and Treasurer, Mike
routinely plays a variety of crucial roles in bringing our productions to
life.
This time around, Mike once again worked his ass off
transporting equipment and helping out with the re-arrangement of the theatre
for our newest production.
As always, we're delighted to have him on board.

Tom Izard*
(Construction & Theatre Set-Up)
With Subversive Theatre, Tom is as both an actor and
as the Financial Secretary for our Troupe. In civilian life, Tom is a
free-lance computer programmer and engineer. Many's the time we have
called upon Tom to lend his engineering and just plain grunt labor abilities
to help bring our productions to life.
For this project, Tom once again played a crucial
role heading up the dismantling of the set-up for the previous production and
rearranging everything for the next go round. Tom also constructed the
new technical booth for this show.

Tom Scahill*
(House Management)
A member of Subversive Theatre's Board of Directors
and the Organizer of our Troupe, Tom has long played an important role
tackling the unglamorous logistical tasks that make a theatre run . . . and,
as if this wasn't enough, he's also acted in a number of our productions!
On this project, Tom is once again playing a crucial
role overseeing the challenges of House Management and assembling a great team
of ushers, helpers, and do-ers, as well as doing the lion's share of the
postering. Way to go, Tom! |
