Subversive Screenings!

Yes!  Subversive Theatre recently added the screening of radical films, documentaries, and clips to our unabashed arsenal of events.
For our first-ever "Subversive Screening" we are proud to present:

"THE CORPORATION"
Friday, February 27th at 8pm
at the mighty Manny Fried Playhouse
(third floor of the Great Arrow Building, 255 Great Arrow Avenue)

donations accepted at the door
light fare & refreshments served

ABOUT THE FILM:
Winner of 26 International Awards including the 2006 Sundance Film Festival Award for Best Documentary, THE CORPORATION is a groundbreaking, Canadian documentary film that explores the nature and frightening rise of the dominant institution of our time.
Featuring interviews with over 40 daring commentators including Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, and even Milton Friedman, this film has transformed audiences all around the World.
Taking its status as a legal "person" to its harmful conclusions, the film puts the corporation on the psychiatrist's couch to ask "What kind of person is this?"  With the current economic crisis wreaking havoc on our society, THE CORPORATION becomes even more relevant today than ever!  It's a must see!

Based on the book "THE CORPORATION: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power" by Joel Bakan, this film is produced by Mark Achbar, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan.

And check back soon to find out about other "Subversive Screenings" still to come!
