Reviewed previous meeting and the proposed charter for
the production troupe of the Subversive Theatre Collective
Overview of the meeting agenda
Item 1
Discussion of edits that are still needed to Troupe
Charter
(Excluding actors) to be added to the “who are exempt
from dues”
Full review of the draft
Set
construction and call for props and set pieces possibly being added.
It was decided that there are many different posts that can be created
once the original troupe officers are in place.
Draft carried unanimously
Item 2 – Election of Officers
Tom Izard – Financial officer
Tom Scahill – Troupe organizer
Brian Zybala – Recording officer
Officers unanimously voted, all ran uncontested
Item 3 – Waterboarding
Blues
Discussion of possible sponsors for the next show
Left open for people to suggest future sponsors
Suggestions:
- Peace center
- UB student centers
- Random lawyers
Joanie Russ volunteered to get in touch with the above
groups
Jessica Stuber volunteered to contact student
groups at UB
Marking director position suggested
Team of Joanie Russ and Jessica Stuber discussed as
taking the position together. No decision was reached.
Item 4 – Subversive Shorts
Director’s team formed; call for scripts is currently
going out. Possible room for another director
Need for many actors. Call for
auditions will come later.
Item 5 – What to do with the space
between plays to recoup money
Talk of what can be done in between shows
- Staged readings
- Film night
Discussion of film night
Global
warming films for Earth
Day
Commercial farming night
Weekend of the 14th, 21st, and 28th
of February, look like possibilities for using the space
Improvisational night for actors shooting for the 28th
of February with the 27th as a warm up night
Friday the
13th will be a movie night. The
Corporation is suggested as the movie to show.
